Statement.
My work combines painting, drawing and
printing on painted and found papers, panels, textiles and other
urban ephemera. Though the finished work is ostensibly visual, the
process of sustaining and developing lengthy cycles of work serve
my theoretical engine. Using both planned and aleatory methods,
I choose a constant dialogue with emphasis, continuance, luminance,
burial and decomposition.
Influences include electronic music, the body as a machine, computing,
collage, shibori and other textile patterns, disco, incantatory
repetition, the dancing body, photosensitivity and exhaustion.
